Stuart Brierley – As Finance and Corporate Services Director, Stuart coordinates the ‘back office’ functions of the Trust. Stuart is a qualified Chartered Accountant, and prior to working for the Trust worked in both the public and private sector for a variety
of organisations. Outside of work he is interested particularly in the world of theatre and drama, both as a peformer, director and audience member.
Vicki Devonport – As Executive Director, Vicki oversees all Trust operations. Prior to joining Groundwork in December 2012 Vicki spent twenty years working in schools followed by roles as Chief Executive of the successful New Heart for Heywood NDC Partnership and head of a Community Trust in Blacon near Chester. Dene Marland – As an Education & Community Project Officer, Dene delivers the Practical Countryside Skills voluntary training course on Groundwork’s thriving nature sites. Further to this, he delivers growing projects in and around the community with the most resent being ‘Growing Together’ – a project bringing together residents and users from a local housing association, to develop confidence and skills through the means of ‘growing their own’ healthy fruit and vegetables. Prior to Groundwork Dene studied at Manchester Metropolitan University before volunteering with the Lancashire Wildlife Trusts. Dene enjoys football, climbing and socialising with friends.
Janet Ratchford – As Team Leader of the Skills for Jobs Team, Janet co-ordinates the design and delivery of accredited courses which help unemployed people within the community into work. Janet is a qualified adult tutor but has also taught young children and spent many years abroad teaching ESOL. She speaks fluent Greek, good Spanish and rusty French, all with a strong Mancunian accent, and likes cooking (and eating) Greek food.
