We’re working with Get Oldham Growing to deliver a new flagship local food project…Growing Ambassadors.
The Growing Ambassadors will be local people who are interested in supporting their own communities to increase the number and effectiveness of food growing projects.
We are looking to recruit 5 part time Ambassadors from across Oldham, for 12 months, in what will be very rewarding roles. All recruits will benefit from extensive training, including horticulture, so a background in food growing isn’t necessary – just a passion to support your community and get involved in local activities on behalf of Get Oldham Growing.
We are very excited about being part of Get Oldham Growing; we are always keen to be part of such initiatives, particularly when the potential to have an impact across health, skills and the environment is so great. The Ambassadors will be an important part of our team and will help to continue our work supporting community action at a neighbourhood level.
If you are you passionate about where you live, want to see more community action and recognise the value of community food growing then follow this link for an application form and job description. Hurry though as the deadline for applications is Wednesday 14th January 2015.
